What The Hammock and Marineland does to a window
The Hammock has two problems that fight each other. On the dune, in Ocean Hammock, Hammock Beach and the oceanfront rows of Hammock Dunes, the glass takes salt straight off the Atlantic, and the floor-to-ceiling windows and sliders those homes were built around are exactly the glass that hazes and etches first. The condo towers have the added issue that the association washes the outside on its own schedule and the inside, the tracks and the screens are yours.
A few hundred feet west, under the live oak canopy that gives the area its name, the problem flips. Shaded glass in Sea Colony, Island Estates and the golf-course sections stays damp, so mildew settles into the frames, and the oaks drop pollen in spring and tannin-stained drip after every rain. Yacht Harbor Village and the Intracoastal homes get the salt from the river side and the sprinkler spots on top.
Most Hammock homes are on an every-two-months plan, with the inside done once a year. We work the area on a set day and are used to the gate procedures in Hammock Dunes, Ocean Hammock and Island Estates, and to servicing homes while owners are away for the summer.

First-clean pricing varies by home size and service package. A first cleaning, inside and out, is $259 for a home up to 2,000 square feet, $329 for 2,000 to 3,500 square feet, and $429 for larger homes on our Silver package. After that, a quarterly maintenance plan runs $60, $77, or $100 a month for those same home sizes. Oceanfront and riverfront estates get a custom quote.
How often should windows be cleaned in The Hammock and Marineland?
Every two months for anything on the dune or facing the ocean, and quarterly for homes under the oaks in Sea Colony and the golf-course sections. Oceanfront sliders can need a monthly exterior wipe in the windy months. Most people have the inside glass done once a year.
Do you work in the gated communities?
Yes. Nearly all of The Hammock is gated and we work in Hammock Dunes, Ocean Hammock, Hammock Beach, Island Estates, Yacht Harbor Village, Sea Colony and The Sanctuary. Just add us to your gate list or tell us the procedure when you book.
Can you remove hard water spots from sprinklers?
In most cases, yes. Mineral spots from sprinkler overspray need a dedicated treatment rather than regular cleaning. Tell us about them on the quote form and we will look at them on the first visit.
